5-foot-tall-halfpipe-ramp
5 Foot Tall Halfpipe Ramp

Bring a five-foot transition to your home sessions

When a lower mini is not the transition you want to skate, this five-foot half pipe gives you a taller base with 12- or 16-foot widths. An optional seven-foot corner adds a higher section without raising the entire ramp. Start with the riding you have in mind, then give this larger kit the space and build time it needs.

Choose height and width for different reasons

Both width options keep the five-foot base height. Twelve feet gives you one span across the ramp; sixteen adds another four feet of width without changing that base height. Choose the width for the approaches you want to use, not as a substitute for deciding whether a five-foot transition is right for your skating. The Ramp Shape guide explains the distinction.

Raise one corner to seven feet

The seven-foot option raises one corner, leaving the rest of the base ramp at five feet. It gives you a higher section to choose during a run rather than committing every approach to seven feet. Consider who will skate that corner and the lines they want before making it part of the order.

Start with two plywood layers, then choose the top

Two plywood riding layers are included. Choose a third plywood layer, GatorSkins in Brown or Green, or Skatelite Pro if you want one of those surface options. Optional Skate Paint serves the exposed wood rather than adding a riding sheet. The Riding Surfaces guide helps you distinguish what goes under your wheels from how the remaining plywood is cared for.

Measure a thirty-foot ramp before the build

The 12-foot-wide base model measures 30 feet long. Lay out that body along with deck access, routes around it and room to assemble the parts. Work from the selected configuration when planning a wider or extended version. Our Space and Fit guide helps you separate the ramp's dimensions from the total area you will need.

A bigger build, with the fabrication already done

The kit supplies pre-cut and pre-drilled parts, computer-cut transitions, counted hardware and photo instructions. Assembly is estimated at one to two days with a drill, so set aside a proper work area and time to follow the sequence. The 3 Foot Tall Halfpipe keeps a three-foot transition across 8-, 12-, or 16-foot widths. Choose the taller model only when its greater height and footprint serve the intended riders and site.

How does the 5 Foot Tall Halfpipe compare with the 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe?

The 5 Foot Tall Halfpipe begins at five feet and uses a 30-foot length for its base 12-foot-wide version, with one optional 7-foot corner. The 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe starts 3.5 feet tall, runs 22 feet 8 inches long, and can add one 5-foot corner. Choose the transition scale and finished length before comparing surfaces.

What can riders practice on the 5 Foot Tall Halfpipe Ramp?

Use the 5 Foot Tall Halfpipe Ramp for repeated transition runs and progression on skills such as kickturns, rock-to-fakies, axle stalls, and linking tricks from wall to wall. The exact progression should match the rider's ability, the selected transition, and the clear skating area around the ramp.

How much room should I plan around the 5 Foot Tall Halfpipe Ramp?

Start with the assembled dimensions for the selected width, height, corner, and surface configuration. Then leave a clear approach, roll-away, deck access, and enough working room for assembly and maintenance. Confirm the actual site before ordering; the listed product footprint alone is not the same as a complete skating-area plan.

Can I return the 5 Foot Tall Halfpipe Ramp if it is not the right fit?

Eligible unused products may be requested for return within 30 calendar days of purchase when they are in original condition and packaging with all included parts and manuals. Customized, used, skated, damaged, or incomplete products are not eligible, and freight, original shipping, processing costs, and a restocking fee may apply. Review the current OC Ramps Return Policy before ordering.

Can OC Ramps build a custom version of the 5 Foot Tall Halfpipe Ramp?

Yes. If the standard width, height, transition, or corner layout does not fit the site or intended riding, start with OC Ramps' Custom Builds page. Share the usable footprint, rider needs, desired transition, access, and location so the project can be evaluated as a custom build instead of forcing a standard kit into the wrong space.

Plan the ramp before the build.

<a
