Product Description

Ecocem Melted Ice: The Sustainable Choice for Concrete

Looking for a greener way to enhance your concrete projects? Ecocem Melted Ice (3x24 Bn) offers a sustainable and effective solution. This innovative product acts as a powerful cementitious material, designed to improve the performance and durability of your concrete while significantly reducing its environmental footprint.

What is Ecocem Melted Ice and How Does it Work?

Ecocem Melted Ice isn't just another concrete additive; it's a high-performance, ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) product. This finely ground material reacts with the calcium hydroxide produced during cement hydration, forming additional cementitious compounds. The result? Denser, stronger, and more durable concrete.

Key Benefits of Using Ecocem Melted Ice:

Enhanced Durability: Concrete mixed with Ecocem Melted Ice exhibits superior long-term strength and resistance to various forms of degradation, including sulfate attack and alkali-silica reaction (ASR). This means your structures will last longer and require less maintenance.
Reduced Permeability: The refined pore structure created by Ecocem Melted Ice significantly reduces the permeability of concrete. This is crucial for applications where resistance to water ingress or aggressive chemicals is paramount.
Improved Workability: Despite its strength-enhancing properties, Ecocem Melted Ice can improve the workability and finishability of fresh concrete, making it easier to place and achieve a smoother surface.
Lower Heat of Hydration: By replacing a portion of Portland cement, Ecocem Melted Ice helps to reduce the heat generated during the hydration process. This is particularly beneficial in mass concrete pours, mitigating the risk of thermal cracking.
Sustainable Construction: Ecocem Melted Ice is a by-product of the steel industry, diverting waste from landfills and significantly reducing the embodied carbon of your concrete. Choosing Ecocem means making a responsible environmental choice without compromising on performance.

Typical Applications:

Ecocem Melted Ice (3x24 Bn) is incredibly versatile and can be used in a wide range of concrete applications, including:

High-rise buildings and foundations
Marine structures and coastal defenses
Water treatment plants and reservoirs
Industrial floors and pavements
Precast concrete elements
