Natural Stone Limestone Siding
Limestone, also known as chalkstone, is a type of natural stone. Due to compounds like magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate, it is usually found in white and off-white colors. It has a softer structure compared to other natural stones, making it easier to process.
It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, offering a unique blend of simplicity and elegance for flooring and wall cladding. Compared to other natural stones like travertine and marble, limestone has a higher water absorption rate.
As with all natural stones, limestone is long-lasting if maintained and cleaned properly. However, maintenance and cleaning of natural stones are more difficult and costly compared to porcelain and ceramic products. Due to their light-colored matte surface, they can stain and get dirty easily. Therefore, when used as flooring, applying surface protectors like matte varnish and sealers can make cleaning easier.
Limestone blocks obtained from nature are sized according to the desired measurements. The sized stones are then individually placed by hand onto a glue-coated mesh to form the desired pattern and left to dry. The dried limestone mosaic and limestone siding panels are then packaged.
