Natural Stone Quartzite Siding
Quartz is a type of rock found in various colors depending on the minerals and elements it contains in nature. Quartz stones are typically white and gray. In Turkey, blue, pink, yellow, green, brown, and black quartz can be found. Quartz is a rock type formed underground as the spaces between quartz grains fill with binding materials over time under pressure and heat.
Quartz is very hard and durable, making it challenging to process. In addition to being used for decorative products, quartz flooring, quartz siding, stairs, and steps, quartz powder is also used as a raw material in the production of concrete, ceramics, surface hardeners, tile adhesives, kitchen countertops, and bathroom countertops.
Quartz rocks extracted from nature are processed and sized. The obtained stones are arranged on a glued mesh for making quartz siding and left to dry. They can also be applied without mesh, similar to laying bricks, by placing the stones on a surface with mortar. Quartz sidings are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, as they are unaffected by UV rays and weather conditions. Unlike marble and travertine, they do not require maintenance.
