CASCADING COLUMN OUTDOOR FOUNTAIN
Five Bowls on One Column, Falling Side to Side
Four copper toned bowls with incised banding around their rims, set into a gray stone column at alternating sides, with a taller ribbed vessel at the base catching everything. Water tips from one bowl into the next down the length of the column rather than dropping straight through a single axis, so the flow crosses back and forth as it descends.
The two material treatment is what carries it. Warm copper vessels against a cool gray column means the piece has both temperatures in it, which lets it sit with terracotta containers and gray paving in the same garden instead of committing to one or the other. Warm LEDs inside the bowls make that contrast stronger after dark, since the copper glows and the column stays dark behind it.
At 39.7 inches on a 15.7 inch square base and 32 pounds, it is over three feet of height on about a foot and a half of floor, and light enough for one person to reposition while deciding where it works.
What Makes This Fountain Different
- The top tier is deliberately unlit, and it is worth understanding why. The LEDs are built into the lower tiers only. Light every level and the piece reads as a lit display, an object with bulbs in it. Leave the top dark and the water appears to arrive from somewhere unlit above, which makes the lit portion below feel like something you are seeing rather than something being shown to you. It is a small decision with a large effect on how staged the fountain looks after dark, and it is easy to mistake for an omission if nobody tells you.
- Alternating sides rather than a straight drop. Each bowl sits on the opposite side of the column from the one above, so water crosses as it falls. That gives more visible movement and a less repetitive sound than bowls stacked on one axis.
- Warm bowls, cool column. Copper toned vessels against gray stone means the piece has a warm element and a cool one, so it finds something to agree with in gardens that have accumulated a mix of materials rather than being built to one palette.
- Incised banding on the rims. The carved lines around each bowl catch shadow and break the water into strands as it goes over, which adds texture to both the look and the sound rather than leaving a plain smooth edge.
A stepped trickle with side to side movement. Because the bowls alternate, the falls land at different points rather than in a single line, so the sound has more variation than a straight stack produces. It stays a close range sound suited to a patio or a doorway rather than something that fills a garden. How loud it seems will still shift with the water level and the surfaces around it, which is why a fixed decibel number would tell you nothing useful about your own space.

Setup, Care, and Warranty
Setup and placement
Tool free. Seat the parts, fill it, plug it in. At 32 pounds one person can manage it, though the height makes a second pair of hands easier.
Set it level before filling. With bowls on alternating sides an out of plumb column sends water past the bowl below rather than into it, which means water leaving the fountain.
Water level and daily care
Keep enough water in the base to cover the pump so it never runs dry. Five open bowls lose water to evaporation faster than a closed reservoir, so check every few days in warm weather.
Clear leaves off the bowl rims. Anything on a lip diverts the fall to one side, and on an alternating design that can send water outside the piece rather than into the next bowl.
Looking after the finish
The copper glaze and the incised banding carry the look, so wipe with a soft cloth and keep harsh liquid cleaners off. In hard water areas a pale film settles into the carved lines around each rim, where it is hardest to remove once set. Clean the wet edges before it builds.
Winter storage
Before freezing weather, drain every bowl and the base vessel completely, disconnect and store the pump, and dry the piece out. Water standing in a bowl through a freeze and thaw is what damages stacked designs. At 32 pounds it can come indoors, which is straightforward given it is rated for indoor use anyway.

Questions Before You Choose
Why is the top tier not lit?
By design rather than by omission. Lighting every level makes a fountain read as a display with bulbs in it. Leaving the top dark means the water appears to come from an unlit source above, so the lit portion below looks like something happening rather than something staged. Worth knowing before it arrives so it is a choice you understand.
Where does it look right?
A patio, a doorway, a garden corner, or a courtyard. Because it carries warm copper and cool gray together, it sits comfortably with terracotta pots, brick, and gray paving in the same space. Indoors it suits an entry or a sunroom.
How is it different from the other bowl and column fountains here?
Several pieces in this range use copper bowls on a gray column, and the differences are in bowl count, arrangement, and height. This one has five levels with the bowls alternating sides and a taller ribbed vessel at the base. If you are comparing within the group, choose by height first and by how much floor space you have second.
Is it safe around children and pets?
At just under 40 inches and 32 pounds it is tall relative to its weight, so keep it off the main running route and away from where a child could pull on an upper bowl. Set it on a hard level surface, and run the cord where it will not catch a foot. The recirculating water is not intended for drinking.
