Androscoggin Lake in Kennebec and Androscoggin Counties, Maine
This lake has 8 Layers or 15 Layers for HD Version
Androscoggin Lake is a sprawling 4,020-acre lake spanning Wayne in Kennebec County and Leeds in Androscoggin County, reaching a maximum depth of 38 feet across 27 miles of shoreline. This shallow, warmwater lake is a haven for anglers chasing Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, and Brown Trout, and its four islands, Androscoggin, Blodgett, Lothrop, and Norris, provide vital nesting habitat for bald eagles, ospreys, and great blue herons.
Part of the scenic 30 Mile River watershed in central Maine, Androscoggin Lake remains largely undeveloped outside the villages of Wayne and Leeds, preserving its natural shoreline and abundant sandy beaches. The lake is a beloved destination for boating, swimming, and bass fishing tournaments, and is home to the rare cattail sedge, found nowhere else in the state. Nearby Winthrop and the broader Winthrop Lakes Region offer additional small-town charm and outdoor recreation just minutes away.
A laser-cut wooden map of Androscoggin Lake makes a striking and meaningful piece of wall art for any Maine lake camp, cabin, or family retreat. The natural wood top layer traces every cove and island along this expansive lake's 27 miles of shoreline in fine detail, while the light-to-dark blue gradient layers capture its broad, sunlit character. A handcrafted gift perfectly suited for Wayne and Leeds area lake lovers, Maine anglers, and anyone who treasures their time on this storied central Maine water.

The difference between standard and HD maps is the number of layers. Standard maps have 1 land layer and 7 water layers. The HD lake maps have 1 land layer and 14 water layers. So twice the detail. The HD Maps are limited to Extra Large, XX Large, and Gigantic sizes only. On the smaller sizes the depth change of the wood is too extreme and you end up losing detail.
