Handcrafted Concrete Artistry Meets Everyday Functionality
This 15-inch round concrete vessel sink represents the intersection of sculptural design and practical durability. Every piece emerges as a one-of-a-kind creation, handmade in Colombia with variations in color and texture that distinguish it from mass-produced alternatives. The round silhouette—14.5 inches across with a compact 46.7-pound presence—positions itself as a focal point that anchors modern bathrooms without demanding excessive countertop real estate, making it ideal for powder rooms, primary baths, and design-forward spaces where the sink itself becomes the design statement.
Sealed Protection Against Concrete's Natural Porosity
Concrete absorbs moisture and stains by nature, but this sink arrives factory-sealed with industrial-grade sealant—one of the market's highest-performance formulations. This protective barrier safeguards against daily water exposure and prevents the color bleeding or staining that occurs with unsealed concrete. The sealing process is critical: it transforms an inherently porous material into a bathroom-ready surface capable of withstanding years of use. Proper maintenance of this seal through appropriate cleaning methods directly impacts the sink's longevity and appearance retention.
Unique Character Through Material Imperfection
Unlike ceramic or porcelain, which aim for uniformity, this concrete vessel celebrates variation. Tonal shifts, subtle shadowing, and natural pores create visual depth that reflects the handcrafted process. These aren't flaws—they're evidence of artisanal creation. Colors arrive in bright, dark-tone, and pastel options, each displaying its own personality. Since each sink is hand-poured, no two pieces carry identical coloring or texture patterns. This unpredictability appeals to buyers seeking customization and design authenticity that off-the-shelf products cannot match.
Critical Care Guidelines for Longevity
This sink demands specific maintenance practices to preserve both the sealer and the underlying concrete. Immediate silicone removal after drain installation is essential—silicone reacts negatively with concrete. Avoid puddling water on the surface, which causes staining and discoloration. Never use abrasive scrubbers, metal sponges, solvents, thinners, or vinegar; these compromise the protective seal layer and create permanent damage. Clean exclusively with neutral-pH soaps (toilet soap or dish soap), followed by thorough rinsing. For drain clogs, call a plumbing professional rather than relying on chemical cleaners that corrode both concrete and drainage connections.
Durable When Properly Installed and Maintained
Concrete sinks engineered to professional standards offer strong resistance to cracking and structural damage during normal bathroom use. This sink's weight (46.7 lbs) demands proper support cabinetry or wall-mounting infrastructure—a consideration during planning. When sealed and maintained correctly, concrete bathrooms sinks perform for decades without significant degradation. Minor surface scratches affect only the sealer layer and are restorable with furniture polish and buffing rather than requiring full replacement.
Specifications for Precise Space Planning
At 15.7 inches tall, 14.5 inches wide, and 14.5 inches in diameter, this round vessel fits compact bathrooms while maintaining visual impact. The compact footprint maximizes above-counter visibility and minimizes the disruption to countertop workflow—a distinct advantage in smaller powder rooms or shared bathrooms. Note: dimensions may vary slightly due to concrete's nature as a cast material. Product images are illustrative; actual colors may differ slightly based on monitor display and the material's inherent tonal variations. Preorder lead times extend to six weeks, while in-stock units ship within five business days—availability varies by finish color.
This sink suits bathrooms where design intention matters as much as function, where the daily ritual of washing your hands involves engaging with a tactile, unique object rather than a generic fixture.
