Product Description

Musa is a ceramic accent tile finished in a plain white gloss, sized 4 by 7 1/2 inches. What separates it from the other ceramic tiles in this white is the box: 24 pieces, 4.08 square feet, which is a slightly bigger unit than its neighbours and changes how the ordering works out.

One glaze, no print

There is no decoration on the face. A white glaze is fired onto a clay body and that is the whole of it, which is why the piece reads as shape and shadow rather than as pattern. Rounded edges give each joint a small curve instead of a hard corner. Thickness runs 3/8 inch. Should the module feel too large, the identical glaze exists at 3x6.

Batch to batch Tone is locked in the firing, so a second order will not arrive a shade off.
Curved edge The rounded edge reads as a fine line of shadow along every joint.

Where it is rated to go

Our record for this piece reads residential light floors, with the living room noted as its room. Anything under foot needs a flat, sound bed beneath it, and ceramic is easy enough to cut that a room with awkward corners stays manageable. Figures to plan with: 0.17 square feet a piece, 4.08 a box, and 17 boxes for 60 square feet once 15 percent is added for waste.

Unit of sale Ordering happens by the box of 24, not by the piece.
Waste allowance 15 percent over the measured area is the usual margin, and diagonal layouts want more.

Why we chose it

Bigger box 4.08 square feet a box means fewer boxes than the smaller formats in this white.
Cuts without a saw A scoring cutter handles ceramic, so most cuts happen on a bench in minutes.
Nothing to seal A glazed surface already resists staining, so no sealer enters the job.

Care

A cloth and any household tile cleaner will keep this looking right. Sealing is unnecessary on a glazed face. If water spots show on the gloss, drying after washing solves it.
