Description
Abyssal Pearl herringbone is a marble mosaic built from 1x2 bars, a smaller module than most herringbone work carries, set on an eleven inch square sheet. Six sheets fill a box for 5.64 square feet, and two trims are cut from the same white stone.
Scale of the weave
Bar size changes a herringbone completely. At 1x2 the zigzag repeats quickly, reading as texture from a distance and only resolving into a pattern up close. Variation between pieces is slight, so the white stays consistent and the geometry stays the subject. Honing keeps the surface matte. Sheets are 3/8 inch, with a 2x12 andorra and a 1/2x12 pencil liner available to finish edges. Frequent joints also mean grout becomes a larger part of what is seen, so its colour choice carries more weight than it would on a large format tile.

Shower floors is what the record shows, bathroom the room. Thirteen boxes cover 60 square feet with cutting included. Small pieces and frequent joints are exactly what a floor falling to a drain wants, since the sheet can follow the slope. Full adhesive behind every sheet remains the rule.

Care
Seal once installed and reseal every one to two years, with extra attention in a wet area. Acidic products etch marble immediately, so a pH neutral stone cleaner is the only routine choice.
