Story
The Chiara Floor Lamp works through the same formal logic as the table edition — a single sheet of polished aluminum cut, rolled, and formed into a seamless cylinder — scaled to standing height where the proportion shifts from intimate object to architectural column. The origami-inspired construction, visible in the precise geometry of the body, is more legible at this scale: the lamp reads as a manufacturing decision made structural. The structured shade above disperses LED illumination broadly at ceiling level, filling the vertical dimension of a room with even diffuse warmth that softens without losing clarity. The aluminum surface acquires a different character in each light condition — reflective, then warm, then almost matte as the ambient light shifts. At floor height the Chiara occupies the perimeter of a room with the quiet authority of a considered object, as much to be looked at as to be used.
