Description
Essence Mariposa Slate is a 3x24 slate look porcelain Bullnose. Essence keeps the cleft texture of slate and drops the flaking that comes with the real stone.
Slate is split rather than sawn, so its face has a shallow cleft texture, and that texture is pressed into this tile. Bullnose gives an exposed edge a finished, rounded profile, so a run of tile can stop without showing a raw cut.
The body is 9 mm and the edges are rectified, so it lays with a tight grout joint. The surface is matte. It is sold by the box, 4.65 sq ft per box and 10 pieces in it.
