Essence Rustic Gold, 12x12, a porcelain Mosaic A with a slate face. Essence keeps the cleft texture of slate and drops the flaking that comes with the real stone.
Natural slate sheds thin layers over time in a busy room; the porcelain face stays as it is. The pieces come mesh mounted in the A pattern, so the spacing stays even and a sheet can be cut to follow a fall to the drain.
The body is 9 mm and the edges are rectified, so it lays with a tight grout joint. The surface is matte. It is sold by the box, 4.84 sq ft per box and 5 pieces in it.
Production is domestic, from the Mount Pleasant, Tennessee plant.
