Description
This is the Frontier20 Montauk Black paver, 24x48 in a slate face. Frontier20 is the 20 mm outdoor programme, thick enough to be laid dry on gravel, sand or pedestals.
Slate is split rather than sawn, so its face has a shallow cleft texture, and that texture is pressed into this tile. The thickness is what lets it sit on a gravel bed or on pedestals over a roof deck without a mortar base.
The body is 20 mm and the edges are rectified, so it lays with a tight grout joint. The surface is matte. One box covers 7.75 sq ft, 1 piece.
It is made in the United States, at Landmark's Mount Pleasant plant in Tennessee.
