Description
Slides in Royal Beige: long narrow bars of polished marble on an 11x17 sheet, 1/2 inch thick. Variation is slight, so the beige holds close across a run, and each sheet covers 1.29 square feet.
Polish on a warm stone
Polishing a beige marble deepens the warmth rather than brightening it, which is the opposite of what the same treatment does to a white. Among beige marble mosaics the bar format is the one that sets a surface running in lines instead of a grid. At 1/2 inch these sheets are heavier than the usual mosaic, so a vertical application needs that weight accounted for. An 8x8 piece in the same stone finishes an edge. Bar formats also hide a slightly uneven substrate better than large tiles do, because each piece can take up a small amount of the difference.

Broad interior approval
Almost every interior application appears against this one: walls and floors at home and in commercial premises, wet rooms on both planes, splash zones and light traffic floors. Bathroom, living room and kitchen are the rooms named. It is not frost resistant, so nothing outdoors. A 60 square foot area takes nine boxes, and a sample can be requested before committing.

Care
Seal after installation, then every one to two years. Polished stone shows etch marks more readily than honed, so acidic spills need attention quickly and cleaning means a pH neutral stone product.
