Description
Marble mosaics from the Silver Sky range, polished, made up of 1 1/4 by 6 inch bars on a 12 inch square sheet. Every sheet is exactly a square foot and seven of them go in a box. A sample can be had before the boxes are ordered.
Bars rather than squares
A 1 1/4 by 6 bar is long enough to show what the stone is doing along its length, which a one inch square never manages. Silver Sky is a pale white marble with grey drift through it, and polishing pulls that drift forward and sends light off the face. Seven sheets to a box makes the maths simple, since each one is a square foot on the nose. The same marble is stocked as an 18x18 tile, a 6x24 fine textured tile, a 2x8 and two Renaissance formats, so a room can run two textures of one stone.

Most indoor work
Approvals run right across residential and commercial interior floors and walls, bath floors and walls, shower walls and floors, backsplash and light residential floors, with bathroom, kitchen and living room noted. White kitchen floor tiles in polished marble show an etch mark before they show wear, so acids want wiping off rather than leaving. Ten boxes take a job to 60 square feet. It is not rated frost resistant, so the work stays indoors.

Care
Seal it once installed, then again every one or two years. A pH neutral stone cleaner is right; bleach, ammonia and abrasive pads are not.
