Ulu knives have been a mainstay in Alaskan life for years. The Ulu knife has been part of Eskimo life for almost 5,000 years. Early Eskimo versions had blades that were hand-crafted from polished slate with carved bone or ivory handles. New versions of the popular knife feature stainless steel blades and wood handles. The Ulu knife is more effective at cutting, chopping and mincing because of its curved blade and because it places pressure directly over the blade rather than just at the end of a traditional handled knife blade.
This Ulu Knife is 5.5" wide and 4.25" tall and includes a 3.75" x 1.25" x .75" wood stand that is slotted to hold your Ulu easily when not in use. Laserable.
