Turtle River Lake is a 1,408-acre lake in Beltrami County, Minnesota, reaching a maximum depth of 40 feet. Part of the Turtle River chain that includes Big Turtle, Little Turtle, and Movil Lakes, connected by the Turtle River flowing through Beltrami County. The chain supports excellent fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, and Crappie in northern Minnesota's Northwoods.
Turtle River Lake is located in Beltrami County approximately 10 miles north of Bemidji in north-central Minnesota. Bemidji — the first city on the Mississippi River — offers dining, lodging, Bemidji State University, and the iconic Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox lakefront statues. The surrounding Beltrami County landscape provides exceptional fishing, hunting, and outdoor recreation in one of Minnesota's finest lake-country settings.
