The warmth people buy travertine for comes from the banding, and it survives the move into porcelain. It installs as tile, with thinset over a flat substrate, rather than as masonry with mortar and ties.
The body is 9 mm and the edges are rectified, so it lays with a tight grout joint. The surface is matte. One box covers 13.56 sq ft, 7 pieces.
