Narrow, and meant to be
An edge trim earns its place by closing a perimeter cleanly. At 5/8 inch wide it registers as a line of colour rather than as a band, so a yellow one outlines an area without adding a second field to the composition. Ceramic moldings at this width match ordinary wall tile thickness at 3/8 inch, which is what lets them sit level against the field.

Shower walls
Shower walls is the recorded rating and living room the noted room. Count by running length: measure every exposed edge, divide by six inches, then add spares for mitres. In a shower the number of returns is usually higher than expected, around a niche or a recess, so the count creeps up.

Care
Wipe the glaze with a household tile cleaner. In a shower, soap residue gathers along a raised profile faster than on a flat face, so include the trim when cleaning down.
